Get Started

To learn more about what it means to serve on the Board of Directors complete our Board Interest Form.

What to Expect

  • The Board Interest Form is intended to collect information from those who are interested in the possibility of becoming a member of the Board of Directors of embrella.

  • Completing the Board Interest Form does not guarantee an appointment to the Board, but rather, it is the first step in the mutual exploration of interest between the individual and embrella.

  • It is designed to allow you to demonstrate your desire to be involved with the board and to highlight your experiences. Once your form is received, you will be added to our Board Interest List. A representative of the board will reach out to you to share more about embrella and the expectations and commitment that would be needed to serve on the embrella Board of Directors.

  • Once you have had further conversation, it is decided that it is a mutual fit, and there is a vacancy with your skill set, you would be invited to pursue candidacy for the embrella Board of Directors. At this point, you would be asked to complete a Board Candidate Application which gets submitted to the Governance Committee of the Board.

  • Candidates are nominated to serve on the Board of Directors through the Governance Committee and approved by the embrella Board of Directors

  • The embrella Board of Directors fills board vacancies on an as needed/yearly basis. Interest forms are accepted on a rolling basis.

  • The Board of Directors meets quarterly on Saturday mornings. Members serve a three-year term and may be eligible to serve additional terms. The number of vacant seats each year varies based on returning board members and expiring terms.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Kim McNear, Board Governance Committee Chair at kmcnear@embrella.org or Corinne LeBaron embrella CEO at clebaron@embrella.org

Thank you for your interest in being an embrella Board member!
