Free Foster and Kinship Parent Training

embrella’s foster and kinship parent training is available to all licensed foster and kinship parents through our contract with the New Jersey Department of Children and Families.

Primary Foster and Kinship Parents must complete 21 in-service training hours and Secondary Parents must complete 15 in-service training hours for your license renewal inspection every 3 years. To stay on track, we recommend all parents complete hours annually. Primary Foster and Kinship Parents should complete 7 in-service training hours and Secondary Parents should complete 5 in-service training hours annually. This is to ensure all hours will be met at the time of your renewal inspection.
