Change the Future

Learn how to adopt from foster care in NJ and make a real difference in the life of a child in need.

Thank you for your interest in learning how to adopt from foster care in NJ. In New Jersey, the number of youth in foster care continues to be reduced each year because the Division of Children and Families (DCF) is focusing on services that strengthen and assist families to prevent abuse and neglect and kinship care when out of home placement is required. As a result, DCF has suspended all new inquiry submissions at this time. Please continue to check our website for any updates.

If you are interested in a specific child who has been featured on New Jersey’s Adoption page, please contact the Office of Adoption Operations at 609.888.7460 and someone will assist you with your inquiry.
